HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, chaired the regular meeting held yesterday by the Cabinet at its headquarters in the Amiri Diwan. 

During the meeting, the Cabinet affirmed the continuation of the precautionary procedures and measures that have been taken in order to combat the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

After that, the Cabinet considered the below topics on the agenda:

1- Approval of a draft Cabinet decision on the conditions and controls of the part-time system in government entities.

This system aims to provide more flexible options for Qatari employees by taking into account their circumstances and needs, and family circumstances, in particular, which comes within the framework of the State’s plans to maintain a strong and stable family that enjoys support and care and to improve job efficiency,

The part-time system is a work system whereby the number of working hours per week is reduced by half and by no less than half the number of working hours per day.

Part-time work shall be upon employee's request and with the approval of the government entity, in accordance with the provisions of this decision.

2- Approval of a draft decision of the Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) regarding the procedures for disbursing from the Zakat Fund account.
