HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani chaired the regular weekly Cabinet meeting held yesterday noon at its headquarters at the Amiri Diwan.

The Cabinet considered the topics on the agenda as follows:

First, the Cabinet approved a draft law amending some provisions of Decree-Law No. (17) of 2010 organizing the National Human Rights Committee and referring it to the Shura Council.

Second, the Cabinet approved a draft Amiri decision establishing and organizing the Police Academy. The preparation of this draft decision comes within the framework of the establishment of an integrated academic structure represented by the Police Academy, which is concerned with developing higher police education and research studies on legal and security sciences and related disciplines, preparing qualified competencies to meet national needs in the security fields, and raising competencies and job skills.
