HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, chaired the regular meeting held by the Cabinet yesterday evening, via videoconferencing.At the outset of the meeting, the Cabinet was briefed by HE the Minister of Public Health on the latest developments to curb the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), and has affirmed the continuation of the precautionary measures in force to combat such pandemic.
The Ministry of Public Health has said that the positive results of the imposed restrictions related to the Coronavirus pandemic, coupled with the unprecedented support provided by the public, have all led to a reduction of the daily COVID-19 infections in the State of Qatar over the past few weeks.
