The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued guideline for health and safety in aviation, in collaboration with the competent authorities in the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH), coinciding with the plan of the gradual lifting of the restrictions imposed in the State of Qatar due to the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19).
In its statement issued yesterday, CAA clarified that the guideline aims to provide instructions and guidelines for operators and service providers in the State, and those involved in the civil aviation industry. This is on how to facilitate the safe and gradual recovery of air traffic flow management and the consequent increase in passenger transport.
The Authority pointed out that the publication is in line with the recommendations of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) regarding the resumption of aviation activity as an important and necessary step at the international level to confront the pandemic of Coronavirus (COVID-19).
The guideline included a set of health measures related to those approved by MOPH, to ensure the effective mitigation of risks related to the Coronavirus and compliance with public health requirements.
