Awqaf Launches the "Giving Basket" Project, in Cooperation with "Hifz Al Naema" Center

The General Administration of Endowments at the Ministry of Endowment and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) has launched the "Giving Basket" project, from which 1,500 families and 2,500 workers will benefit during the Holy month. The project is held for the second year in a row, in cooperation with Hifz Al Naema Center. 

Dr. Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Ghanem al Thani, General Administration of Endowments Director-General said, during a press conference held by the administration remotely and via video call, to launch the project, this initiative is one of the pioneering initiatives launched by the administration last year, with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in co-operation with Hifz Al Naema Center.

He pointed out that the aim of the initiative is to deliver food baskets to needy families and workers, and today we are also launching the "Giving Basket" campaign, which will benefit 1,500 needy families during the Holy month, in addition to 2,500 workers, in support of the"Waqf" Bank for Righteousness and Piety, during the Holy month.
