News Details

Quranic course "Taahod" program to memorize and review the Holy Quran for adults and children will be launched today, 3 January 2021, which will be held in the Microsoft Teams distance-learning program, via the learning platform of the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf). The program is organized and overseen by the section of the Holy Quran and its Sciences at the Department of Religious Call and Guidance at Awqaf. This allows course participants to learn reciting the Holy Quran correctly, memorize and review the Holy Quran elaborately, and learn the rules of Tajwid (intonation) with application. This includes the correct method of spelling the words of the Holy Quran from the book of spelling lessons approved in the Department.

"Taahod" program aims to have about 600 new participants, in addition to people who have registered and the participants in the current Quranic course program "Taahod," who are about 2000 participants. They will join the program directly, without the need for registration, given that they are registered students and participants in the current Quranic course.

The program that will continue until the end of April 2021 aims to teach the Holy Quran, its recitation, memorization and review for a large segment of the community with different ages. This is for the sake of creating generations that memorize the Quran, think deeply about the meanings of the Quran and recite it correctly to teachers specialized in this area, including imams and Muezzins (men who call Muslims to prayer from the minaret of mosques) operating at the Ministry.
