Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has been awarded the Certificate of Registration of the Environmental Management System ISO 14001:2015 and Occupational Health and Safety Management System ISO 45001:2018.

The award is regarded as a major achievement as part of the Corporate Excellence Program of Ashghal, which was awarded the ISO 9001:2015 Certification of Registration of the Quality Management System for all its departments in December 2019.

Engineer Mr. Jamal Al Kaabi, Manager of Planning and Quality Department of Ashghal received the award, after the Authority had been under a comprehensive and extensive external audit for actions of Public Works Authority's departments by DNV GL Society in October 2020, with the internationally recognized standards set by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).     

The scope of the certifications covered all Ashghal functionalities, affairs and departments, including design, construction, and management of major projects in the sectors of roads, drainage, buildings and public amenities, such as government buildings, schools and hospitals. This is in addition to operation and maintenance of assets such as roads, drainage networks and sewage treatment plants.
