The Chief Judge of the Court of First Instance Muhammad Hassan Al Hail has disclosed Supreme Judiciary Council (SJC) designing a program similar to Metrash2 application. This program will help in using all services provided by SJC via mobile phone. Moreover, SJC plans to launch the service of filing pleading briefs online during the third quarter of the current year, something which will enable a judge to review them online.
Chief Judge Al Hail explained that SJC has held a colloquium for a few days in order to introduce lawyers to registration mechanism and method of filing lawsuit online. He emphasized that now there are 80 law firms that have the authority to file civil lawsuits and lawsuits related to family online after their registering via SJC website.
He added that when individuals file lawsuits online, they must attach required documents in lawsuit. He clarified that when filing a family-related lawsuit, marriage certificate and children birth certificates must be attached, and in civil lawsuits, required contracts and bank checks must be submitted if necessary. He added that these services aim to reduce the overcrowding of litigants before counters. He suggested that among online services provided by SJC in criminal cases is the service of printing court decisions so that a litigant will manage to file objections on court decisions by easy and quick ways.
