The Ministry of Interior (MOI) has announced that the Abu Samra border crossing will return to its normal operation as of December 23, 2022.

In a statement posted yesterday on its official Twitter account, MOI said: As this announcement is further to the previous circulars regarding the restriction of entry procedures through Abu Samra border crossing for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, MOI notes that that the Abu Samra border crossing will return to its normal operation effective from Friday, December 23, 2022.

MOI clarified that travelers will be received in accordance with the usual procedures previously implemented, namely presenting entry visas and approved travel documents.

MOI also advised the public to complete the vehicle insurance procedures in advance and online via the Qatari Unified Bureau Insurance website to ensure their smooth entry through the port.
