News Details

Government e-Correspondence System (Morasalat), one of the initiatives taken by the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC) to improve the communication among the government entities and institutions in the State of Qatar, has recorded an increase in the number of correspondences during the first quarter of this year. The number of correspondences during this period has reached 1.81%, compared to the number of correspondences during the first quarter of 2020.

From the beginning of this year until the end of last March, the e-Government System among the government entities has achieved 94905 government correspondences. This System being implemented by the ministries and government institutions constitutes a pioneering model for using the digital technology to maximize the benefit of the information network, and a platform for the exchange of data online among them within the framework of the Qatar National Vision 2030.

MOTC clarified that Morasalat provides the automation of the government correspondences among the government entities, improves the communication among the government entities and approves the highest standards of security. MOTC added that the benefits of Morasalat are manifested in saving the time and efforts when exchanging the correspondences among the government entities, and reducing the administrative costs by saving the time, efforts and human and financial resources, as well as activating the "paperless organization" concept.
