News Details

The Official Gazette published Cabinet Decision No. (17) of 2022 amending some provisions of Decision No. (6) of 2018 forming labor dispute resolution committees, the rules and procedures to be followed, and the mechanism for implementing decisions.

The Decision stipulated the formation of five committees for resolving labour disputes at the Ministry of Labour (MoL), each under the leadership of a judge from the Court of First Instance, chosen by the Supreme Judiciary Council, and with the membership of a representative from the Ministry, as well as an expert in the accounting field selected by the Minister.

Each committee has a secretariat, consisting of one or more MoL employees, assigned as per the Minister's decision that defines their competencies and remuneration. A decision shall be issued by the Minister in coordination with the concerned authorities to name the heads and members of the aforementioned committees.
