The Supervisory Committee of Beautification of Roads and Public Places in Qatar has started implementing several projects to establish public parks within neighborhoods in different places in Qatar, in cooperation with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME).

Eng. Amna Al Bader, Secretary of the Committee, said that the design and implementation of Al Furjan Gardens falls within the strategic plan of the committee, which aims to humanize cities and change a culture that relies mainly on the use of cars into a culture friendly for pedestrians and cyclists, in addition to creating destinations and arenas that contribute to encouraging all family members to follow a healthy lifestyle and exercise, choosing nearby and interesting destinations outside the confines of closed buildings".

As for Al Furjan Gardens projects, Eng. Amna noted that a park will be built for each area across Qatar to be an outlet for many residential neighborhoods in the country.
