Award information

The Cultural Village Foundation - Katara is organizing, within the program of traditional crafts and industries in the State of Qatar Katara Award for Handicrafts and traditional artisanal industry in Qatar in its first edition for the crafts Sadu, engraving on gypsum, and embroidery.

Conditions of the contest:

• The product should be traditional, or heritage inspired.
• The participant must be at least 18 years old.
• The product should be useable in daily life and can be marketed.
• The popular product must replicate the same sizes used for the traditional product used in the past.
• Use 90% of traditional raw materials and must be fabricated.

Note: The deadline for submitting works will be on November 20, 2021, and the names of the winners will be announced on November 30, 2021.
