His Highness the Amir created the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) in 2005 to reform Qatar's health care system. Ministry of Public Health is responsible for setting policies, goals and objectives to achieve the vision of making this system one of the world's best.
MoPH monitors the quality and effectiveness of services delivered by primary care, hospitals and other public and private health service providers to ensure that standards are met and performance targets achieved.
The Ministry of Public Health seeks to conduct statistics on the health services provided across its affiliated health centers and institutions with the aim of comparing such statistics and improving the services offered to the public.
