Since its inception in 1977, Qatar University (QU) has been viewed as Qatar's primary institution of higher education and has become today a beacon of academic and research excellence in the Arab region.

Qatar Career Development Center
Guided by the pillars of Qatar National Vision 2030 (QNV2030) and inspired by Qatar Foundation (QF)'s efforts to launch human potentials, Qatar Career Development Center (QCDC), which is a member of QF, seeks to become a beacon of vocational orientation in the State of Qatar. This is in order to prepare national human capital to meet the requirements of QNV2030, by instilling and cementing vocational orientation as part of the social and economic culture of the State.
QCDC seeks to achieve the following objectives:
- Instill a career-driven mindset through career awareness and interest building programs and channels.
- Nurture effective career policies, planning and practices through collaboration with stakeholders of vocational orientation.
