The State of Qatar boasts numerous event venues suitable for conferences, exhibitions, events and more. Qatar considered as a regional hub for conferences and exhibitions. It hosts many key international conferences on a range of topics from education to finance to social services.

Here is a rundown of the most popular two function venues in Qatar:

Qatar National Convention Centre

QNCC

A member of Qatar Foundation, Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC), is one of the largest and most technologically advanced venues in the Middle East, which covers a total area of 85,000 m2.

The Centre has spacious areas that can accommodate all kinds of events, such as conferences, exhibitions, meetings, theatre performances, seminars, training courses and special occasions.

QNCC enjoys a theatre-style conference hall, which holds up to 4,000 delegates, can be adapted for multi-purpose setup suitable for banquets, concerts and plenary sessions.

In addition, it features 52 meeting rooms with a seating capacity ranging from 10 to 260 seats. Each room comes fully equipped with a 108-inch screen and built-in AV system.

Overview (Sustainability and Environment)

QNCC was built according to US Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED) Gold certification standards. This takes a holistic building approach to sustainability and covers design, construction and operations.

The design of the building makes the maximum use of natural light through the intelligent design of its skylights. This, together with superior insulation, reduces energy use. QNCC is designed to be approximately 32 percent more efficient compared to a similar designed building and is fitted with over 3,500m² of solar panels providing 12.5% of the Centre's energy needs.

It is worth mentioning that most of the conference rooms in QNCC support the simultaneous interpretation system for up to eight different languages at the same time, and are equipped with the latest global technologies used for presentations and speeches.

About Exhibition Halls

QNCC Hall

Niche audience exhibition or large-scale convention? Indoor or outdoor? The flexible exhibition space has the solution for events of every size.

The Centre has nine exhibition halls providing 40,000 m² of light and airy indoor exhibition space.

Exhibition Halls 1 to 9 are multi-purpose areas with great flexibility. These halls are also supplied with 38,864m² of modular Installed rigging grids, making them perfect for banquets, concerts and other special events.

If your choice is for an al fresco event to make the most of the beautiful Doha nights, the Centre’s grounds feature a 3,000m² open space equipped with its own power, water and IT infrastructure.

Halls 3-9 offer 35,000m² of exhibition space

Halls 1 and 2 offer 4,100m² of flexible use floor space

Halls 3 to 9 come with a dedicated registration counter, catering kiosk, hospitality suites and organiser's office in each hall.

This Hall is the perfect choice for an impressive event. Its elegant lines are enhanced by the region’s most advanced lighting system consisting of 28 marvellous Swarovski crystal chandeliers.

This hall holds up to 4,000 delegates and can be set up for banquets, concerts and plenary sessions. It also has a separate balcony seating area. This venue is supported by the latest technology to meet the needs of sophisticated events.

Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC)

DECC

In the city of Doha, Qatar has offered itself an exhibition centre of the future, with world-class architecture. A building destined to become a top regional and international exhibition centre.

Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC) contains seven Exhibit Halls and adjacent conference rooms, all under a monumental floating blade roof. The 48,000m2 Convention Centre can be operated as five independent exhibit halls, or with the operable partitions opened, a single 35,000 m2 hall is created, one of the largest single halls in the world with an 18m clear height throughout. Circular skylights flood the exhibit halls with natural light, with black-out shades providing control. All halls are accessed from the South Foyer, a 270m long lobby with a full height, cabled stayed façade that offers panoramic views of Doha’s new downtown, the West Bay.
