The benefit of this law is that it provides foreign investors incentives such as exemption of income tax, allocation of land, annual exemption from custom duties for equipment, machinery, raw materials and semi-finished and packaging material needed for industrial production that are not available in the local market, as well as allowing them to have up to 100 percent ownership per minister decree or exemption in all sectors except for banking and insurance, commercial agencies, and real estate.

Investment in Qatar is not only limited to its developmental projects, but also what contributes in achieving Qatar sustainable development in all areas and persevering its resources by focusing on industries that meet the demands of the local market and help achieve self-sufficiency in three focal areas: food, consumers goods, and medical supplies.
